Smulders, a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, and assembly of complex steel structures, complements our capabilities with innovative technical solutions. Together, we develop tailor-made offshore platforms that meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and robustness.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and implement outfitting designs for shipbuilding and offshore projects, ensuring seamless integration of structural and functional components.
* Create innovative, basic design solutions for outfitting elements such as heli pads, stairs and railings, meteorological masts, LSA equipment, cranes, lifts, doors, and interior accommodation (MLQ).
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, classification rules, and customer requirements throughout the design and approval process.
* Conduct technical analyses and simulations to verify design feasibility, safety, and functionality under real-world conditions.
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, shipyards, and classification societies, to ensure smooth project execution.
* Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability in outfitting design.
YOUR PROFILE:
* Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* multiple years of experience in outfitting design within the shipbuilding or offshore industry.
* Strong proficiency in CAD software and basic design principles for outfitting systems.
* Familiarity with international maritime regulations and classification requirements.
* Fluent englisch (spoken and written) Skills
* At least B1-level German proficiency is required.
* Strong problem-solving skills, structured working approach, and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
