Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, job holder is responsible and accountable for the following:
• Qualifying opportunities that come from the Edible Oil and Oleochemical industry.
• Technically and commercially identify and evaluate customer’s requirements in order to prepare proposals.
• Liaise with internal technical team while managing customers with the objective to secure contracts.
• Utilize engineering and business skills to navigate project tenders, cost estimations, sales cycles and identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
• Assist the Sales Director in planning, preparing and executing contract tender opportunities in the edible oil/oleochemical industry.
• Generate proposals by putting together project cost estimation, process plant operating costs, scope of supply and process flow diagrams.
• Be able to do project cost estimations, calculate rough equipment sizes, approximate process plant consumption and understand plant processes.
• Use engineering skills with business sense to match client requirements to good solutions.
• Create and deliver product presentations that highlight value propositions of technology.
• Assist the Sales Director to develop and implement the Sales and Marketing strategy for the Company in line with market growth potential, technological and price competitiveness and any emerging opportunities in allied technologies and supply.
• Assist the Sales Director to penetrate the market to ensure optimum market coverage and timely response to market opportunities in terms of proposal preparation, follow up and negotiations.
• Develop and maintain healthy customer relationships and provide support to maintain confidence in the Company, its products and enhance future sales possibilities.
• Closely monitor the competitive environment including technology and commercial developments of key competitors and provide these inputs to the Sales Director to develop counter strategy.
• Follow up regularly on submitted proposals and identify key customer concerns to address in order to close sales.
• Co-ordinate with Engineering Department for assistance in proposal generation and solutions.
• Co-ordinate with the Engineering / Operation Department on new contracts to ensure that they are informed on all the commitments made by the Sales Department and other relevant information apart from what is stipulated in the Contract.
• Co-ordinate orders booking, invoicing and ensure payment collection with respective Project Leaders.
• Assist in the preparation of selected conferences and exhibitions and participate during the exhibition.

Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in chemical / Process Engineering
Experience
• 2- 4 years preparing Sales proposal for equipment or project tender, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experience in Edible Oil or Oleochemical industry is an advantage
• Willing to travel on short notice
