Your Role
The Application Development Engineer strives to become world leader in applications in their market segment, becoming the go-to expert in the world for the usage of related instruments to solve leading and important problems in the semiconductor market segment
1. Entertain network of / collaborations with application partners and lighthouse customers
2. Screen market (sub-)segment for application trends and emerging customer needs
3. Support MRD development by contributing requirements from apps perspective
4. Support and challenge product development by providing segment-specific use cases and verify these in Beta-tests
5. Establish sales knowledge about (sub-)segment specific target applications and workflows
6. work out application proofs to support product positioning and create segment specific application content for sales- and marketing collatorals
7. Provide level 4 sales- and strategic customer support
8. Training of demo labs Deliverables
9. Validated reports on application trends
10. Job-to-be-done descriptions and use cases for MRD and Beta test
11. Application content for sales trainings, level 1-3 presentations and sales collaterals
12. Best demo practices sharing between the SSC's/demo labs, segment specific demo approaches
Your Profile
13. We define strategy of which market segments to focus on, and together with the product management team we define solution roadmaps and support their execution in the R&D teams, and we guide the sales organization with the best marketing positioning for existing products
14. In your role as the Application Development Engineer in the business sector electronics, you are responsible for the support of MRD development and establishing sales knowledge about the segment
15. You are the expert within the Microscopy team that understands the customer language and values
16. Understand and describe the customer's job-to-be-done within the electronics industry
17. Contribute to relevant application reports and trends
18. Develop collaboration with key customers
19. Drive content generation for internal training on new solutions, sales materials, and marketing campaigns
20. Implement sales trainings
21. Monitor performance of solution portfolio and derive / drive implementation of corrective actions
