We create possibilities. Be What’s Next® with us. The Operations/Process Engineer is responsible for supporting, coordinating and implementing improvement opportunities within manufacturing. They will further be responsible for contributing to project management of technical projects, developing concepts, as well as coordinating defined projects. Supporting the planned Joint Venture between Ingredion and Agrana, an Austrian-based food company, this exciting development opportunity will spend the first 12-18 months in role learning the business and production processes on site at Ingredion Hamburg (Germany) & Agrana Aschach (Austria) before relocating to our site location in Romania to leverage their experience at our manufacturing site in Tandarei. The incumbent will initially be a critical part of the project team implementing a significant transformational capital project at the site before transitioning to the operations team of new production line at the site. Core Responsibilities: Perform process lead functions for major capital project, ensure major equipment items and instrumentation is correctly specified. Support project execution providing resolution to process related concerns and optimization. Prepare documentation for HAZOP studies. Develop URS for control system & complete subsequent FAT. Lead commissioning and training of newly installed plant Know-how development & transfer – development and sustainable transfer of know how to relevant site stakeholders incl. engineering, maintenance, operators. Transfer of production and engineering know-how across other sites, leveraging best practice know-how. Process improvement projects – support, find, coordinate and implement improvement opportunities for production in alignment with Engineering department. Trouble shooting – responsible for trouble shooting of complex issues in operations, incl. root cause analysis (RCA) and subsequent execution and implementation of RCA actions. Qualified candidates will have: Engineering degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar Min. 3 years’ relevant work experience, ideally working in an international business environment Demonstrated project management and process technology experience High level of analytical capability, experienced in data collection and the use of analytical tools Knowledge/experience in the food ingredients industry and/or unit processes an advantage Proactive with a strong drive for results, able to work autonomously in a structured way Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships to lead through influence Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified Experience in HAZOP studies an advantage Romanian & English fluency, both written and spoken; German language skills an advantage LI-EÜ1 LI-ONSITE Relocation Available: Yes, Within Region
