Could you be the full-time Requirements Management Engineer (f/m/d) in Mannheim we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
In Mannheim, over 1000 colleagues from 36 different countries work together to develop locomotives, as well as signal and propulsion technology for vehicles that are deployed both regionally and worldwide. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to the Domain Lead Requirements Manager and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to :
* Implement Requirement Management global processes on tender, on the execution of customer contracts and product development projects for technical & non-technical requirements
* Act as the guardian of the integrity of the customer contracts
* Drive the engineers in their requirements development activities
* Verify the data quality & consistency in the RM database (IBM DOORS 9.7)
* Manage the requirements changes & configuration
* Contribute to the RME Network
* Support Train Performance Manager, in the application of the RM process and the Configuration Baseline Missions & Trade Off processes on a day-to-day basis.
* Maintain traceability from source requirements to supplier requirements (TPS) and the layers in between.
* Conduct project/program specific trainings for stakeholders involved in the process
* Provide support (tools and process) to the users and all other stakeholders (SYS Engineers, …)
* Follow up status of Requirements (allocation, acceptance by Sub-Systems, coverage,…) according to project/program quality gates
* Report Requirements coverage and status to Project/Program management
* Support consistency analysis (in coordination with the System Engineering Manager)
* Support change impact analysis (in coordination with the Configuration Manager)
* Manage the (technical) requirements of the project and to contribute to identify inconsistencies between those requirements and the project's plans and design outputs
* Plan RM activities over the complete lifecycle according to the project schedule
* Manage (technical) requirements (product requirements and operational requirements), during the whole product life-cycle.
* Provide regular update on the level of compliance to the requirements
All About You

* Engineering Degree or equivalent
* Experience of at least 3 years of working in cross-functional development teams at various stages in a project lifecycle, preferably in the railway sector or a comparable area.
* Advanced knowledge with the Software IBM DOORS (9.X)
* Experience in writing DXL scripts (desirable)
* Proven knowledge on requirement management methodology and Systems Engineering/Integration conceptual knowledge (eg. IREB certificate).
* Sound knowledge of product development process (V-model)
* Basic knowledge on related processes such as: safety, verification&validation, change and configuration management
* English: Fluent (written and oral), German: fluent (written and oral)
* Good communication skills, Self-reliance, flexibility and team spirit
