The role involves working within a matrix organisational structure, interacting with peers in the Total Process Safety Technology Center, and working closely with production facilities and third party service providers – all in a multinational business environment.
The PHA Manager is the recognized expert in the region for PHA methodologies, including HAZOP, What-if and LOPA, as well as Human Factors analysis. Experience with Facility Siting Studies (FSS) and Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) is an asset, including assessment of the results of such studies and involvement in the development of solutions to address higher risk installations.
This role requires the ability to think and act strategically, bring technical and system solutions to problems, apply analytical skills to problem solving, and the ability to teach and coach colleagues in PHA tools and methodologies.
The PHA Manager reports administratively to the TPS Global Director, and partners with the PHA Manager for North America, Regional Total Process Safety (TPS) Managers and Process Safety Technology Leaders within the TPS Technology Center.
This role can be based in one of our facilities in Germany (Hamburg, Eppelheim / Heidelberg, Berlin), The Netherlands (Europoort) or UK (Erith).
And it may also include Regional Process Safety Manager responsibilities.
