Job Description: Role Overview: The Train Lab Engineer is responsible for the development, validation, and authorization processes related to the TestBench, TestBench, and TrainLab systems for intercity and regional train projects. The role involves ensuring the readiness and correct configuration of the TrainLab for testing, verification, and validation. Additionally, the Train Lab Engineer will support performance optimization and availability while maintaining alignment with project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Build and deploy the TestBench, TestBench, and TrainLab to meet defined test scopes and project needs. Continuously improve lab documentation and technical functional configurations.• Develop specific models and integrate external modelling inputs from suppliers, participating units, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with laboratory tool configurations for planned tests. Configure and maintain lab test setups, including both hardware and software, for efficient testing execution. Manage configuration tasks in accordance with project requirements. Perform operational maintenance of the TestBench and TrainLab to ensure consistent performance. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience. Experience in testing, validation, and commissioning processes, preferably in the rail or transportation sector. Proficiency in lab test configurations, including hardware and software integration. Knowledge of configuration management tools and practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with train systems and related technical standards. Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with laboratory tools and modelling techniques. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers. Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
