Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, the Software Sales Engineer is responsible for preparing and delivering technical presentations explaining our services to customers and prospective customers. Supporting sales expansion in the DACH region-with a primary focus on Germany-this role will collaborate with Sales Executives to sell the TraceGains platform across the region. This is a key position for driving regional growth, requiring bilingual fluency in German and English to effectively connect with internal teams, partners, and customers. In this role, a typical day will be: - Partnering with management and Sales Executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals across DACH, starting with Mexico. - Successfully matching customer challenges and requirements to proposed solutions. - Developing proofs of concept through the configuration of TraceGains core products, including maintaining product demonstration environments. - Supporting Sales Executives with preparation, materials, and the demonstration of the TraceGains platform in the Food & Beverage, Nutraceuticals, and Retail industries. - Collaborating with the Customer Success team to build and execute successful implementation plans. - Driving the sales process through technical expertise and RFP responses. - Effectively communicating regional client needs to R&D teams for product improvements. - Participating in company webinars, events, and conferences to strengthen the TraceGains presence in DACH. You will ideally have: - Proven work experience as a Software Sales Engineer. - Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken). - Knowledge of the Food & Beverage, Nutraceuticals, and Retail industries. - Familiarity with SaaS solutions; experience with PLM solutions for the CPG Industry is a plus. - Proven track record supporting complex enterprise solution sales. - BS degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience in Sales Support or SaaS Sales. - Ability to be a positive team player, willing to grow and change - Strong understanding of the sales landscape in Germany and the broader DACH region. - Solid technical background with experience in software development and web technologies. - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Exceptional presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
