The Opportunity This critical role within Allegro's Quality organization serves as the primary liaison between Allegro and its European customers. The Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) acts as the first point of contact for product quality issues arising after shipment. This role requires a deep understanding of semiconductor development and manufacturing processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers and internal teams. What You'll Do Serve as the voice of Allegro Quality Engineering, interfacing directly with customer supplier quality engineers and automotive OEMs throughout Europe. Proactively contributes to customer satisfaction by managing cases in a focused and measured way to prevent customer escalation. Manage customer complaints, driving the problem-solving process to resolution within defined cycle time targets. Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional problem-solving teams, leveraging quality tools such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), 5-Why, and 8D methodology. Coordinate and define corrective actions for a wide range of IC and sensor failure modes. Prepare comprehensive 8D corrective action reports, clearly explaining root cause analysis and corrective actions to Allegro customers. Participate in customer audits of Allegro facilities and processes. What You Will Need Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field (Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent). 5 years of experience in semiconductor engineering, with specific experience in wafer fabrication, IC test, or assembly. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). Additional European language(s) are highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers, understand their technical challenges, and build strong relationships. Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal teams, including Product Quality Engineers (PQE), Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE), System Engineering, Design Engineering, Failure Analysis, and Production sites. Ability to travel internationally on an infrequent basis to visit customers and support audits. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a basic understanding of database usage
