The System Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE). This position is a 2-year assignment on a MOU in Freising, Germany with additional compensation emoluments. The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) department is seeking an OCONUS Lead Engineer for the Patriot Germany Ground Equipment program. The OCONUS Lead Engineer will be directly responsible for technical execution of contract deliverables and providing technical assistance to the German Air Force, requiring broad technical understanding of Air and Missile Defense Systems including engineering, operational and manufacturing development standards, processes, and best practices. What You Will Do: - Provide technical leadership across globally distributed cross functional team, with representatives from Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, IPT/CPT Leadership, and Program Office - Serve as the primary OCONUS program technical point of contact with the customer senior technical counterparts and internal senior program management and engineering leadership - Manage and influence customer expectations through timely and accurate communication, advocate for most effective user solutions and capabilities - Lead technical engagements with the German customer and German defense industry partners though Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM) and working groups - Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance - 10% Domestic/International travel This position requires daily on-site support and is not open to hybrid or remote possibilities Qualifications You Must Have: - Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is typically required. - The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
