Description As a development engineer, you will lead challenging new product development projects. You will perform specific tasks such as the design and development of new prototypes, which you assemble yourself and validate in the in-house testing bay in accordance with international standards. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform and provide guidance on engineering tasks using established procedures including but not limited to, stress analysis, design calculations, material selection, cost estimates and tolerance studies. Research, design, assemble and test prototypes and document all results. Independently lead and coordinate projects for new product development and product line related sustaining work with providing regular reviews. Perform and guide on design activities and coordinate with the Technical Designer for the preparation of drawings, test procedures and engineering change orders. Independently work and coordinate with sales, marketing, operations, production and manufacturing to provide technical data and product information for prototype manufacturing through to product commercialization.
