Our Engineer (m/w/d) - Power Conversion independently manages the execution and timely completion of engineering projects related to the Power Generating Units, like Inverters, Industrial Chargers, and/or EV chargers according to UL and IEC standards. Locations: Neu-Isenburg Working model: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office) - Independently determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction. - Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites or external laboratories. - Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services. - Follows up on contacts from clients. - Work with overseas technical experts on complex products and standard interpretations. - Communicate with clients to discuss technical difficulties, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project costs, and negotiate completion dates and sample requirements. - Acts to address client concerns and to resolve client issues. - Provides technical assistance to clients about product inspection and follow-up services. - Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements. - Notifies the client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance with UL requirements or of any changes in project scope or specifications. - Coordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing the work of Laboratory Technicians and support staff, and establishing completion dates. - Coordinates administrative aspects of project management - Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program - Knowledge of Power Conversion Technology (plus) - Good Project Management skills - Fluent language skills in English & German - Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline. - Working knowledge of conformity standards in use in the area of expertise. - Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in area of expertise.
