We are recruiting a Hardware Engineer to join our team based in Germany, Telgte. This role will have responsibility for full lifecycle product development with a focus on electronics, from requirements analysis through to design and test of high quality/robust designs (cradle to grave) for our Nursecall products. What will you be doing in this role? As a Hardware Engineer at Tunstall Healthcare, the key responsibilities of the role focus on electronic design and full lifecycle product development in conjunction with our embedded software team. The Ideal candidate: We are looking for someone that has experience of layout, CAD and electronic design work in a device control-focused environment Key skills and experience: Required skills and experience Essential: Experience in developing embedded real-time systems, low power and mains powered products, communications system. Proven experience of design ownership. Standard interfacing circuits - UART, ADC's, DAC's, I2C, SPI, Differential comms. (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485 etc). Mix digital and analogue design. Schematic and PCB layout capture using CAD (Altium preferred). Design documentation (requirement specs, design documents, TCF, BFT, etc.), Engineering release and change control, Engineering Degree (Electronics or Electrical & Electronics, Physics or Applied Physics). Desirable Experience of complete product lifecycle development. Low level analogue design, miscellaneous interfacing circuitry etc. Proficient in interpreting industrial standards and design product to comply with the relevant standards. Experience in the development of hardware-related software in C/C++ for modern microcontrollers desirable System level design experience. Technical leadership. Board bring-up, debug, test and validation. Rapid prototype techniques/experience. Circuit design (analogue, digital), dimensioning, simulation and layout creation Working alongside with the development teams: Mechanical, Firmware and Test engineers. Design for volume manufacture. Design for mechanical, test and service. Obsolescence within current product. Design testing and validation.
