As we continuously expand and improve our Data Platform, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/x) to join our Product & Engineering department. This department is responsible for the design, development and growth of our Data Platform as well as our Data Network and connected Data Products. We are in the process of merging our core products into a single, unified, platform and are looking for key engineering talent to join our teams. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing new capabilities, improving existing capabilities and guiding less experienced team members to grow their technical expertise. Ready to make an impact? You’ll get to take ownership of: Leading the technical design, development, and deployment of key components of our Data Platform. Participating in code reviews and contributing to improving code quality across the team. Mentoring junior and intermediate team members, providing technical guidance and feedback. Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product Management to translate business requirements into technical solutions. We’d love to meet someone with: 7 years of experience in full-stack development, with expertise in Java, Angular 2, and Typescript. Experience with Vaadin is nice to have. Experience with test automation using tools such as JUnit. Experience with one or a few DBs from the list: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB. Experience with one or a few integration models and protocols, such as HTTP, REST, GraphQL, AS2, etc. Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. The ability to think in high levels of abstraction and how is versatile in Object-oriented programming. Knowledge of asynchronous communication systems such as Kafka, AMQP or MQTT. A clear and efficient communication style in English and as a plus in German.
