We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent South Korean automotive giant. The company has grown into a leader in Korea’s automobile industry and is among the biggest vehicle manufacturers worldwide. Employees in the location in Rüsselsheim are working on making sure automotive products of the company meet the demanding standards of European customers and are adapted to the needs of that specific market.
You will be responsible for
• Plan, organize and conduct testing, evaluation and benchmarking of mechanical or electrical body components like interior handles, buttons, lighting, seats, doors, hoods, tailgates and others to validate performance levels or investigate concerns
• Perform detailed analysis to understand the exact customer needs to increase the satisfaction/performance of our brand, defining root causes and decide the best testing method & procedures, while maintaining budget and timing targets
• Align your plans with management and report in a clear and structured manner to highlight research, explain your methods, summarize your results and present your findings, to align your next steps, all in English
• Operate our state-of-the-art testing equipment or use external resources to achieve the most efficient part testing
• Analyze test data or check competitor vehicles to make proposals how to improve our future products or requirements.
• Report competitor solutions and testing innovations through your network of industry experts, supplier or conference visits and compare these solutions related to their impact on cost, weight and performance to our internal methods
Who we are looking for
• You have 2-5 years of testing experience, preferably in the mechanical evaluation of automotive interior or closure parts.
• Excellent knowledge of OEM requirements, regulations, testing-equipment, -methods, -reports and -procedures.
• Experience in defining, organizing, performing & reporting body tests & customer evaluations at OEM or automotive tier.
• Good ability to solve problems by conducting deep problem analyses, making structured breakdown to clarify root causes, elaborating detailed plans to achieve aligned goals and follow up procedures to achieve project goals.
• Clear, fact & deadline driven reporting while weighing cost, weight & performance to align decisions with management.
• Pro-active attitude, innovative mind with a strategic, organized & very flexible working style to build trust-based relations
• Good level of English in speech and writing, good MS Office skills and in possession of a valid European drivers license B
• Willing to travel frequently to perform tests in Germany, Europe or Korea
