Roles & Responsiblities
* Design of BCU-based substation control systems for high voltage direct current systems (HVDC)
* Implementation of control software in as well as verification using simulation tools and real-time test environments
* Preparation of design specifications, documentation and effort estimations
* Clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliers
* Remote support during commissioning and service of HVDC systems
Qualification & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in the above noted responsibilities
* Very good knowledge in parameterisation of bay control units (BCUs), ideally of SIPROTEC 5 devices with DIGSI and CFC (Continuous Flow Chart)
* Experience in the realisation of the standard IEC61850 for substation control and for data exchange with higher level automation and SCADA systems
* Good knowledge in high voltage and substation technology as well as in the design of interlocking schemes and automated control sequences
* Good knowledge in secondary interfaces of high voltage components such as switching devices, transformers, CTs and VTs
* German language skills are of advantage
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment and develop strong internal and external relationships.
* Excellent time management and organization skills, ability to multi task.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
