Description
As a Special Costing & Industrial Engineer, you will be the key point of contact for special customer solutions, ensuring accurate cost calculations, feasibility analysis, and seamless execution from concept to delivery. You’ll work closely with product development teams, production specialists, and internal stakeholders to manage the entire lifecycle of customized solutions. Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field/experience•Strong knowledge of product costing and cost accounting principles•Experience in production technologies (melamine & metal processing, assembly concepts)•Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)•Fluent in German & English (written and spoken)•Very good communication and teamwork skills•Analytical thinking and a structured way of working•Confident handling of MS Office and relevant software for costing and project planning•Performance-oriented, independent working style, ability to learn, personal responsibility and ability to work in a team Desired Skills and Experience •REFA certification or knowledge of REFA methods•Experience in project management and strategic planning•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills What You Will Be Doing: •Prepare detailed product calculations for special customer solutions•Ensure accurate cost assessments, considering materials, manufacturing processes, and complexity•Act as the single point of contact for specials calculations and feasibility analysis•Collaborate with product development and production teams to clarify technical details•Drive strategic planning for execution and delivery of customer solutions•Plan production processes and manage implementation within the plant•Oversee the creation of mock-up products for customer presentations•Maintain SAP material master data and establish target times according to REFA standards Who We Are: Steelcase is a global design and thought leader in the world of work.
