As the Project Lead Engineer (PLE), you'll kickstart your day by taking charge of two to three exciting projects simultaneously. You'll dive into customer contracts, extracting the vital information for your team, and then evaluate the progress of your team members. You'll expertly review the scope, identify any gaps, evaluate on time delivery of engineering documents, and organize meetings to clarify technical issues. As you mentor your fellow Engineers, you'll keep the fire burning by reporting to your manager and other leaders within the business about significant developments. How You’ll Make an Impact
7. Leading a team of experts for mechanical, fluid, electrical and control systems towards the project management
8. Acting as primary point of contact for the project management for technical auxiliaries’ scope on a project. You will interface with both local and global Siemens Energy Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Installation teams in support of project execution activities. You will facilitate information flow between Engineering, Program Management, and our customers as required and agreed
9. Representing auxiliaries engineering in customer communication
10. Leading the contract technical scope and document schedule for auxiliaries from project kickoff through handover to our customer. You will coordinate appropriate flow-down of contract requirements to the Engineering teams at kickoff
11. Highlighting risks of execution to Program Management and Engineering. You will manage internal engineering change requests and support external technical scope changes to support Project Management during project execution
12. Building the interface between the Installation team during erection and commissioning of Siemens Energy equipment at Customer sites
What You Bring
13. Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or a comparable discipline, with minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably an advanced degree (Master or Dipl. Ing.) in Engineering
14. Long term of professional experience in the power plant project execution with knowledge of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and/or Generator auxiliaries
15. Willingness and ability to learn and to acquire a generalist knowledge in related cross-discipline areas
16. Proven capability in both written and verbal communication. Demonstrated experience in prioritizing work and competing tasks. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and lead through influence
17. Demonstrable experience using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Siemens Energy tools such as Fabasoft, SAP, Teamcenter, and COMOS/ePlan
18. A good command of German and English language
