This position reports to Field Service Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will enhance workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction by troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, and testing products to meet high quality standards in ABB''s Traction Division in Minden. Your contributions will support production targets and exceptional client service, including on site repairs and maintenance beyond the local Repair Center. The work model for the role is: #LI Onsite This role is contributing to the Traction division within the Motion Business Area in Minden. You will be mainly accountable for: You identify faults and issues, implement corrective actions, and execute service orders according to workshop processes and guidelines to ensure high customer satisfaction. You review bills of materials and documents, ensure all required materials, parts, and equipment are available, and complete tasks on time and to a high standard using a "First Time Right" approach. You perform commissioning, maintenance, and modernization projects and are flexible for short term on site assignments beyond the local Repair Center. You identify and communicate improvement opportunities in workflows, implement minor enhancements, and demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and customer focused professionalism. Qualifications for the role You are highly skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electrical products, with sound knowledge of drive technology in the industrial and traction sectors. You have 2 years of experience in technical support and services, with established skills as a workshop technician, or you are an entry level candidate eager to develop expertise in this field. You are highly adept in diagnosing technical faults and implementing corrective measures while working with relevant electrical tools and technologies. You are passionate about analytical thinking and problem solving and have a customer focused, confident demeanor in professional interactions. You have a degree or technician training in electronics or a comparable field, providing you with a solid foundation in the discipline. You are at ease communicating in both written and spoken German and have a good command of English. You hold any required certifications or qualifications necessary for technical work in Germany.
