Your role:
Handling product inquiries from customers:
* You will evaluate whether the requested products, or similar alternatives, are available or need to be developed from scratch.
* All inquiry details (timing, volume, technical aspects, etc.) must be documented in an application sheet and discussed with the customer business manager at the start of the process.
Change Management:
* Create product change requests (PCRs) following the necessary guidelines (timing, drawing revisions, deviations), working closely with Sales, the manufacturing plant, and the customer to ensure both internal and customer requirements are met.
Product Engineering:
* You will collaborate with the Account Manager to serve as the customer’s main point of contact throughout the development process.
* Ensure that both internal and customer requirements are well understood and implemented.
* Handle any deviations directly with the customer and obtain the necessary approvals.
* Create a test matrix, organize product testing, and assess the results in coordination with the customer, internal laboratories, and Product Engineering.
* Support the acquisition of test samples.
* Develop a test and validation plan according to project timelines.
* Your involvement is critical in securing customer approval for each design phase.
Communication:
* Align project details with the product development process (PDP) and use tools like Bill of Design (BOD), DFMEA, systematic problem-solving, competitor analysis, and the PCR process in collaboration with the development department and the customer.
Prototype Support:
Ensure assistance for the customer’s serial/prototype line within your specific area of responsibility.
Your background:
* A degree in Engineering, IT, Electrical, Electronics Systems, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Application Engineer, ideally in the automotive sector.
* Proficient in English (both spoken and written).
* Strong skills in MS Office & MS Project.
* Effective presentation skills.
