The Mission
Munich-based OroraTech is developing a constellation of nano-satellites with thermal infrared cameras for automated wildfire detection, severe weather warnings and many other applications, as well as its own microsatellite platform for in-house and customer missions. After our first three Missions FOREST-1-3, as well as our first full orbital plane of eight satellites OTC-P1 (Launch End of March 2025), we currently work towards the second orbital plane, which includes four satellites built and operated completely in-house under the Hellenic Fire-Satellite Program from the European Space Agency.. We are looking for a talented systems engineer to support us in this and all upcoming missions.
What you’ll be doing
As a Systems Engineer you will:
* Be part of our missions-spanning systems engineering team, which provides technical leadership to all of OroraTech’s Space Missions
* Communicate with customers, launch providers and space agencies
* Design and maintain requirements
* Prepare and coordinate technical reviews with space agencies and customers
* Be responsible for verification and validation plans
* Apply end-to-end systems analysis and modeling and the subsequent allocation and management of technical budgets / tolerances
Relevant Skills
* Experience in Satellite Systems Engineering from Phase A to Operations
* Experience in Requirements Engineering
* Experience in Satellite Architectures
* Experience as a Technical Project Lead
* Understanding of Embedded Electronics
