Subsystem Engineer - Electrical Power Systems Tasks Technical responsible for the Electrical Power Subsystem for a given project from pre-development up to in-orbit commissioning. Electrical Power Subsystem design authority towards customers and subcontractors Design, sizing and trade-offs of electrical power subsystems for satellite applications (encompassing e.g. solar generators, batteries, power conditioning & distribution units, solar array drive mechanisms) Assessment and evaluation of electrical power subsystem relevant concept trades across feasibility and pre-development studies Analysis of system requirements and flow-down to electrical power subsystem requirements Definition and maintenance of electrical power subsystem units’ specifications Proposal preparation including evaluation of subcontractor proposals Production and maintenance of EPS design and verification documentation (design descriptions, analyses, requirements specifications, test specifications and test reports) Responsible for electrical power subsystem reviews Support to system and other subsystem reviews Cooperation with project team, system engineering and other divisions Development of the electrical power subsystem verification, on-site support during testing phase (Initial functional and performance tests, environmental test campaign, launch camapign Your Qualifications Degree in electrical/aerospace engineering or comparable qualification Professional experience in phase B/C/D in satellite Electrical Power Systems or an electrical power system equipment development would be an advantage Excellent communication skills High degree of flexibility Enjoy teamwork in large projects Fluency in spoken and written English, German would be an advantage Willingness to travel
