Division: On-road Autonomy
Job Summary
Trimble is a globally recognized technology company that specializes in providing advanced solutions for positioning, mapping, and navigation. With a rich history spanning over four decades, Trimble has become a pioneer in the field of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology. By leveraging precise satellite positioning and advanced sensor data fusion, Trimble empowers industries across the globe with accurate, reliable, and efficient positioning solutions.
The senior multi-sensor navigation engineer architects, implements, analyzes, and maintains precise positioning algorithms for automotive & ADAS applications and other products targeting autonomous vehicles. These navigation algorithms fuse inputs from multiple sources (GNSS, inertial sensors, vehicle dynamics, odometry, precision maps, vision system inputs, etc.) to robustly locate a vehicle to sub-meter level accuracy. Working in a small and motivated team of experts, the navigation engineer enjoys broad exposure to the complete product life cycle, from concept creation to go-to-market. The candidate will leverage their clear verbal and written communication skills to closely cooperate with our team of field application engineers and to coordinate development work with less experienced team mates. The navigation engineer will see their work reach production and generate revenue. Ideal candidates have many theoretical and hands-on tools, are willing to take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
