Job Description
This is a hybrid role that is both technical and sales-oriented and focuses on supporting the Motorola Solutions Video Security & Access Control business opportunities.
Your key responsibilities will include (not limited to):
1. Have positive attitude and can properly manage time and tasks, even when under pressure or having short deadlines
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales teams, consultants, partners and end users
3. Be a product expert resource for end user meetings and presentations to help assist with closing deals
4. Articulate the Motorola Solutions ecosystem technology and demonstrate differentiated value propositions to both business and technical prospects
5. Tradeshow support and onsite customer visits including Proof Of Concept design and remote / onsite support
6. Support sales teams in responding to RFP’s and designing, specifying, and quoting systems
7. Continuous self-development and increase knowledge on Motorola Solutions VS&A hardware and software solutions
8. Effectively disseminate product knowledge by providing thorough training to field sales, pre-sales, consultants, partners and end users as required (requires travel)
9. Help manage and develop product certification training content
10. Collaborate with product support and engineering to help tackle complex customer issues onsite
11. Support pre-sales field escalations and manage to engage the required resources in Motorola Solutions to deliver a solution
12. Support company events such as roadshows, trade shows, partners events, including in-house pre-setup of systems and shipping to the designated location. Requires domestic international traveling for setup and attending roadshows, trade shows, partners events
13. Onsite activities such as site surveys, systems audits and commissioning (requires domestic and international travels)
14. Administrative items including task assignment processes, submitting expenses, calendar planning and monthly reporting on state of the territory
15. Perform related duties as assigned
Basic Requirements
16. Experience in Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering or equivalent role for a technology company
17. Strong understanding of the access control, and video surveillance markets and solutions
18. Self-motivated and focused individual with a passion for technology and an aptitude for customer satisfaction
19. Be capable of working as an individual contributor still part of a team to achieve corporate goals
20. English and German speaking and strong verbal and written communication
21. Excellent presentation skills in-person and using remote teleconference tools
22. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
23. Be capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
24. Has a pleasant, friendly style of verbal and written communication
25. Strong knowledge and experience with troubleshooting tools and techniques
26. Advanced knowledge of networking principles and communications
27. Experience with computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting
28. Driving License and car for business transportation are a must (supported by corporate expenses policies)
Preferable skills and experience:
29. Prior experience in the security industry, including certifications in enterprise security systems and/or cloud hosted video and/or access control solutions
30. Cloud, Microsoft, Cisco and/or any other relevant technical certifications
31. Domain of other languages rather than English
32. University degree or diploma in technology matters
