Change the world. Love your job. In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI, and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job. About the Job The SR-LVB product line is seeking for a highly motivated Digital Design Engineer with first work experience in the semiconductor world. As a member of an experienced design team you will be part of developing innovative DCDC buck switching regulator devices. You will be interacting with a variety of other teams on a daily basis u2013 digital and analog IP team, verification engineers, physical design engineers and system engineering team during the development of the devices and during Silicon bring up. You will ensure high quality RTL deliverables by using state of the art tools and flows for quality checks. In addition, to broaden your skillset you will also support the digital block-level verification and mixed-signal top-level verification. As a Digital Design Engineer in our team you will gain or further enhance your in-depth knowledge of semiconductor digital design including RTL coding, simulation, timing closure, verification and synthesis. Example products we have built are TPS62870, TPS62840, TPS62A01, TPS62810 Why APP? Power is everywhere The Analog Power Products (APP) team designs and develops more than 30,000 products for the industrial, automotive, personal electronics and communications markets. Our solutions cover the entire AC/DC and DC/DC power spectrum and are leading the industry in power density, power consumption, EMI performance, and other performance metrics. Made up of six dynamic business units, APP is at the forefront of industrial and next-generation automotive trends. You will be joining the SR-LVB product line which is located in Freising, Germany and is working in the fields of inductive DCDC converters. We focus on the one hand on fully integrated buck converters in the low voltage area (<7V), supporting a broad range of applications requiring ultra-low load currents as well as up to even 100A and on the other hand on functional safety compliant controllers and power stages. Join us for the opportunity to create innovative and compelling products for customers that then help create a better world. As a Digital Design Engineer, the key responsibilities are the following but not limited to: Handling the complete digital design flow (frontend and backend) RTL Design, synthesis, P&R, timing closure, formal checks (lint, cdc, u2026), DFT Digital core complexity and functionality: 3k u2013 50k Gates and <1 Kbytes of NVM memory Communication interface, NVM handling, device behavior, fault handling and protection features Discussing specifications with our system engineers and translating these into design requirements Collaborate closely with digital/analog designers and system engineers to define together the needed functionality and behavior Working closely with test and product engineers to ensure that design-for-test standards are considered up-front Work with physical design team for floor planning and timing analysis Supervise IC layouts to ensure a high-performance standard Maintain and extend digital flow and evaluate new tools Participate in design reviews and creating the necessary design and product documentation Supporting the digital block-level verification and mixed-signal top-level verification Why TI?
