Responsibilities:
Development, qualification and approval of new materials, material compounds and molded parts made from them.
Documentation and presentation of the results internally and externally through reports, publications and presentations.
Supervision of in-house elastomer production with regard to material issues, process technology and process development.
Clarification of causes of damage through material tests and component testing as well as initiating remedial measures.
Providing technical application advice on the selection and use of elastomer and polymer molded parts.
Supporting production and purchasing by drawing up work and process instructions, technical delivery conditions and approval processes
Ensuring and expanding contact with manufacturers, compounders and plant constructors as well as the relevant committees (DKG).
Planning, design and commissioning of new testing and measuring procedures, test benches and measuring equipment.
Qualifications:
Completed studies in the field of materials science, plastics technology, chemistry, mechanical engineering or process engineering or similar
In-depth knowledge in the field of elastomers and polymers
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, analytics and measurement technology
Professional experience desirable
Good MS Office skills
English B1 or higher
Ability to work in a team, commitment and resilience
Ability to work under pressure, quick comprehension and goal-oriented way of working
Hands-on mentality and long-term orientation
