What work will you do? As a Python Data Engineer at zeroG, you'll be a key player in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions that drive our business. You'll combine your strong Python programming skills with a solid understanding of software engineering principles to build and optimize data pipelines on cloud platforms (GCP and Azure). Key responsibilities include: Designing and implementing efficient data pipelines using Python Building data models and structures to support business needs Developing ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data Conducting data analysis and quality checks Writing clean, efficient, and well-tested Python code adhering to software design principles Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to deliver insights Deploying and managing data solutions on GCP and Azure cloud platforms What skills should you have? We're looking for a data engineer with a strong foundation in Python programming and a solid understanding of software engineering best practices. To succeed in this role, you'll need: 2 years of experience in data engineering or software development Proficiency in Python programming and data manipulation libraries Experience with SQL and relational databases Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code Knowledge of software design principles and testing frameworks The following skills and experience would also be an asset: While not required, these skills can enhance your impact: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field Experience with big data technologies ( e.g. Spark) Python backend developme nt experience ( e.g. FastAPI ) Experience with cloud platforms (GCP and Azure) Understanding of cloud-native development and DevOps practices Familiarity with the aviation industry This role offers flexibility with a part-time option of 30-40 hours per week (75-100%). While remote work from Germany is generally possible, we value in-person collaboration and regular presence in our Frankfurt office for workshops, team meetings, and other events is expected.
