Job Overview TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements. What your background should look like: 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and develop of new product launches and automation control system designs and fabrication. Experience elaborating maintenance routines; project management and team support. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ? Fluent English skills ? Knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office. ? Ability to work on several projects at once. ? Ability to create and follow strategies and plans. ? Skilled at solving problems. ? Interpersonal skills, communication and ability to multitask. ? Design experience in automation controls (PLCs, servos, vision systems, sensors, ladder logic, function block programming, electrical schematics development, ect) ? Control system debugging and optimization. ? Mechanical Design (3D, 2D, etc). ? Electrical and communication. RESPONSABILITIES ? Mechanic and electronic design of improvement for current process and add-ons for current machinery. ? Design and implement automation control systems. ? Develop and update manufacturing process instructions for all control system. ? Develop and update training materials on control / schematics for manufacturing processes auto machinery. ? Support Maintenance on existing equipment (CNC, plating, Molded parts, and Assembly). ? Analyze performance and process control data. ? Prepare machinery connection schematic drawings; Assign the facility to the project team and hire outside contractors as needed. ? Identify, source, acquire, design or adapt machines, tools and equipment to meet production requirements. ? Find and monitor external vendors and consultants as needed. ? Implement TEOA-specific reporting standards and KPIs. ? Create new technologies in process designs to maximize performance and efficiency. ? Create innovative ideas to solve manufacturing problems and simplify new products to reduce costs and increase overall manufacturing efficiency. ? Lead design and builds of automation control designs based on Hermosillo control standards.
