We’re seeking engineers with a strong background in the medical industry to drive innovation in microcontroller-based solutions, ensuring compliance with rigorous international standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement embedded software for microcontroller systems, focusing on sensor interfaces, actuator control, and clinical functionalities.
2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., hardware, systems, regulatory) to define requirements and architect software for medical applications.
3. Tackle hardware constraints and integrate legacy systems in compliance with medical device standards.
4. Develop, document, and verify code adhering to IEC 62304 and other regulatory frameworks.
5. Ensure software quality through rigorous testing, static/dynamic analysis (e.g., Polyspace), and debugging (e.g., oscilloscopes).
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with hands-on experience in embedded systems for medical devices.
2. Proven expertise in Embedded C++ and ARM-based microcontrollers, including datasheet and schematic analysis.
3. Strong knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, CAN Bus) and tools (e.g., CANoe).
4. Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (e.g., Keil RTX) and Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Polarion).
5. In-depth understanding of medical quality and safety standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971) – mandatory.
6. Proficiency with SCM tools (e.g., GIT, SVN, JIRA) and Agile methodologies.
7. Fluency in English; German proficiency highly preferred for collaboration in Germany.
