About the role - As a Global Supply Chain Excellence Engineer, you will lead SC excellence competitiveness programs and ensure that focus and balance remain between customer needs, harmonization requirements, quality, and efficiency. You will work with several other departments (i.e. Purchasing, Sales, Legal, Manufacturing) and manage complex interdisciplinary projects to drive profitable, sustainable growth and productivity. - The Global Supply Chain Excellence Engineer will be part of the Global SC Excellence Group and will report to the Global Supply Chain Excellence and Quality Manager. The team consists of 4 persons and is integrated in the supply chain organization of the Global Business Unit Soda Ash & Derivatives. - You will be accountable for: - Leading and deploying various competitiveness and service delivery projects globally and ensuring the deployment among reference sites. - Harmonizing best practices for site logistics among the Soda Ash & Derivatives plants and functioning as SPOC for physical extensions and setup of terminal/warehouse/tolling network to support the business growth. - Providing training, advice and support for Supply Chain organization and participating in projects managed by other functions (Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing,) impacting the SC processes. - Creating, maintaining, and revising the physical site logistics layout and workflow including bulk loading, packaging equipment, and warehouse storage. - Understanding and advising on applicable laws and internal and external regulations (in exchange with other stakeholders). - Developing the detailed design of the Supply Chain processes and actively research and study innovations and new concepts, as well as assessing their applicability for the SC processe - We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working model. Most traveling (15%) will be to the different business sites and is part of the role. About you - Successfully completed master's degree in field of supply chain management (SCM), engineering, economics or equivalent. - Several years of experience in a supply chain domain with handling and storing of premium products (i.e. food or pharma) is a bonus. - Competencies: - Basic understanding of statistics and statistical analysis as well as analytical thinking skills - Fluent English skills, need to communicate with colleagues across the geographical landscape (Europe, LATAM, APAC, NAFTA) - IT knowledge (experience in ERP/SAP) and statistical Lean 6 Sigma (green or black belt) would be a bonus - Behaviors: - A high degree of independence in the elaboration and development of new concepts and projects - Collaborative as well as open and transparent communication - Ability to influence in a regional and global environment with strategic thinking skills - Agile and proactive approach towards projects and ability to learn new concepts, utilize new tools (i.e. software) and implement them About the pay and benefits - Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the German base pay reasonably expected for this role is 76.500 to 104.000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
