Your Tasks
The project focuses on colorectal cancer screening in patients with known familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), using a combination of eye-tracking and artificial intelligence. The aim is to solve the problem of examining and tracking hundreds of colorectal polyps during a colonoscopy. Your AI applications will be tested in prospective clinical trials.
As a software engineer (m/f/d), you will play a vital role in advancing our research and creating innovative solutions, including:
* Developing AI pipelines to analyze healthcare data and aid patients, physicians and caregivers.
* Usage of libraries like PyTorch.
* Development of annotation software based on eye-tracking and natural language processing
* Collaborating with clinical experts to generate and collect data, improve usability and application design.
* Supporting scientific work, including planning, executing, and evaluating clinical studies with a digital focus as well as writing scientific publications.
Your Profile
Required:
* Academic degree in life science, computer science or engineering (MSc or PhD).
* Practical experience with data analysis, machine learning, and application development.
* Proficiency in English (C1 level).
* Experience in scientific research with proven track record of published work in peer-reviewed journals with a focus on medical applications.
* Strong motivation, initiative, and teamwork orientation.
* Residency in Germany to enable a quick start.
