We are looking for a Quality Engineer (m/f/i) to join our Laboratory in Krefeld to support and enhance our Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards, regulations and requirements. The role involves ensuring accreditation, managing quality processes, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high testing standards and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standard while maintaining accreditation credentials. Lead and manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), change management, and compliance activities to continuously improve and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO/IEC 17025. Oversee PTP (Proficiency Testing Program) handling, application, and analysis to ensure laboratory compliance and performance meets industry benchmarks. Ensure a proper validation, verification and measurement uncertainty analysis of testing equipment and methods to maintain compliance, accuracy and reliability. Define and assess risks and opportunities within laboratory processes, implementing and maintaining effective control measures. Support in coordinating, planning and demonstrating compliance during internal and external audits. Work closely with the Accreditation Management Team, technicians, engineers, and lab managers to maintain the integrity of testing processes and laboratory scopes. Oversee and support the management of scopes and accreditation credentials in accordance with accreditation requirements. Ensure proper documentation, drafting, and reviewing of procedures, instructions as needed to maintain compliance and continuous improvement. Deliver training programs on ISO/IEC 17025 and Quality Management Systems (QMS) to the laboratory personnel. Develop and maintain technical records such as training records, verification records, and employee competency records, ensuring they remain updated. Work closely with the support team, addressing their needs and ensure requirements compliance Participate in regional and global improvement projects to drive continuous improvement within laboratory operations. Qualifications and requirements University degree in Polymer Science, Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field. 3-5 years of experience in quality management, regulatory compliance, or laboratory testing within the plastics industry preferably. Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 9001, ASTM standards, certification processes & schemes and DAkkS assessment process with hands-on experience in accreditation audits. Experience with quality management methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Fluent in English (C1) and German language proficiency of (B1) minimum u2013 required. Strong team player, with flexibility, active engagement, and innovative thinking. Self-driven with the ability to facilitate own assessments and implement quality improvements.
