RWE Renewables Europe & Australia GmbH, Essen, Hamburg, Warszawa To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent Functional area: Engineering As Senior Asset Integrity Engineer in onshore Engineering, you will utilise your skills, experience and talent within a team of Asset Integrity specialists to provide and improve engineering support during project development, construction and operations for onshore wind turbine assets in Central Europe. As a representative of RWE, you will also role-model our behaviours, particularly Health, Safety and Environment, working within a team and pushing boundaries, whilst helping developing local capability and shape the O&M strategies for the future. Your tasks Provide engineering guidance during project development, construction and operations for onshore wind turbine assets in Central Europe (Netherlands, Germany, Poland) Manage and support the engineering processes aligned with regional project management Supporting, developing and mentoring the Wind turbine and Operations Engineers to assist them in maximising their contribution to the business Play a leading role in assisting operational sites in defining, managing and implementing the O&M strategy, including supporting/developing the relationship and practices with the WTG OEM’s to achieve/increase key performance indicators Support process safety incident investigations Identification, resolution and mitigation of technical & HSE issues including root cause analysis and assess risks resp. opportunities for adding value to the business Ensure the long term engineering integrity of the installed assets in compliance with both internal and external engineering policies Manage, support and steer complex technical negotiations and assist in commercial negotiations with asset stakeholders Responsibility for approval and sign off of technical reports, investigations, mitigations and modifications Technically support to the end of warranty process and claims procedure Support technical contracting and procurement in negotiations and claim management Perform QA/QC inspections of wind turbines & components and audit WTG & service suppliers Support the development of engineering management instructions and procedures Support the Operation regional manager in negotiations/discussions with the Turbine OEM and third party companies with the objective to improve the performance of RWE assets Stay up to date with all technological developments Participate in Technical Due diligences of new turbine platforms Your profile Successfully completed university degree in Engineering (mechanical / electrical) Several years (8) of professional experience across wind turbine manufacturers or service suppliers (NORDEX, Senvion/SGRE & Enercon beneficial) and significant experience as Asset Integrity Engineer in maintenance and service functions in the wind industry Significant experience in liaising with the array of internal and external stakeholders Strong Stakeholder centric mind-set and commitment to ensure high level of stakeholder satisfaction Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the business, both managerial and technical A thorough knowledge of engineering regulations and standards. Strong knowledge and mindset on HSE-topics Physical fitness. Ability to work at height (all relevant GWO certificates potentially IRATA or similar beneficial) NEBOSH or IOSH qualification Chartered Engineer status beneficial. Open Mindset: Self-reflective personality, able to learn and respond to feedback Hands-on mentality: active participation, pragmatic and fact-oriented attitude Willingness to travel around European sites English & German language skills – Business fluent in spoken and written.
