o As a device development engineer, you will develop innovative silicon carbide power semiconductors for use in the automotive electronics of the future.
o You will derive current and future requirements from the application and ensure fulfilment through novel manufacturing processes, materials and device concepts.
o In addition to TCAD validation of new device concepts, you will be responsible for the overall process development and process integration of our SiC MOSFET technologies with a focus on Front End Of Line (FEOL) processes.
o You will also control process runs, mask layouts and the characterization of components with external and internal partners and evaluate the results with regard to the requirements.
o Furthermore, you will accompany the introduction of new manufacturing processes and equipment in our semiconductor production until series release.
o Last but not least, you will be responsible for product support on the development side after series release. In doing so, you will support process and product transfers in the international manufacturing network.
+ Education: completed university studies in physics, semiconductor technology, material sciences or a comparable subject
+ Experience and know-how: sound knowledge of common semiconductor processes and manufacturing methods; knowledge of the possibilities and limits of simulation methods (including TCAD/FEM); experience in the development of power semiconductors, preferably SiC would be an advantage; comprehensive knowledge of statistical procedures and problem-solving methods
+ Personality and working style: you have a communicative and team-oriented manner; you are characterized by a goal-oriented way of working
+ Work Routine: in hybrid working mode you meet your team members 3 days per week on-site for personal exchange and collaboration
+ Enthusiasm: high level of willingness to work independently and across departments in a complex environment
+ Languages: business fluent in written and spoken German and English
*In accordance with our regulations, the gross annual salary for this position is at least 84.000 EUR for a 35h week (for a full year of employment and fulfillment of the eligibility requirements based on collective agreements) in the case of a comprehensive execution of job requirements. In addition, there is an individual, performance-related pay, a bonus based on the company's success, as well as employer benefits for the Bosch pension plan.
