A NOTE FROM YOUR TEAM LEAD We're looking for an Android engineer to join our cross-functional team, working on the Clue Mobile App. Join us and help over 5 million monthly active users on the acclaimed Clue Android App to learn about their bodies and to better live in sync with their biology. You will help your cross functional team to build, release and iterate on features in their domain participating in all stages of development from early design, to implementation, to release - having quality & observability as a focus at all times. WHAT YOU’LL DO Collaborate with design, product, and other engineering teams to define, develop, and ship new features. Encourage efforts to explore, evaluate, and adopt modern Android tools and technologies. Propose, document, and implement coding guidelines and best practices to ensure a high-quality codebase. Mentor, support and guide other engineers, fostering a collaborative and motivating team culture. Share responsibility for the Android platform’s stability, performance, and overall quality. Advocate for a business-oriented approach to feature prioritization and establish efficient cross-team collaboration. Address Android-related queries and challenges with responsiveness and expertise. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Proficiency in developing Android applications using Kotlin. Strong knowledge of Android tools and libraries, including Jetpack Compose, Room, and Flow. Experience writing asynchronous code using Kotlin Coroutines and working with RESTful APIs. Proven experience in implementing monitoring and observability solutions in Android applications to ensure app stability, identify issues, and improve performance. Experience with CI systems and modern dependency management. Demonstrated ability to lead by example, mentor teammates, and foster a positive team culture. A proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges, paired with excellent communication skills. Experience in cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and other engineering teams. Passion for exploring and implementing the latest Android technologies and industry best practices.
