Your Responsibilities As a platform-focused Software Security Engineer at Jedox, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our innovative products, ensuring they meet the highest security standards. This individual will be pivotal in integrating robust security measures, driving & executing excellence, and taking ownership of projects critical to the organization's growth mindset. This position reports directly to VP, Engineering. Own and improve upon on-going security testing and code review programs. Act as an SME on product & platform security for the Engineering organization; to include security audit support and PDLC. Assess vulnerability reports and provide insights related to remediation, mitigation, and risk to Engineering leadership. Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities, develop knowledge of new security and compliance tools and best practices. Serve as go-to person inside Engineering team for all things security and compliance (Certifications, Compliance, Security Relevant Client Questions, third party software supply chain, etc.). Implement, test and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture. Maintain security-relevant documentation and third party library management. Your Profile At least 2 years' work experience as Software Security Engineer; ideally within B2B PaaS and/or SaaS environment. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related field. Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and remediation, third party library management. Software development experience in one of the following core languages: C++, Java, Javascript, PHP, .NET, React. Adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Cloud Native Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols. You work effectively and thrive working with multiple teams, and are an advocate for technical innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. You are capable of presenting security topics to an audience or community and i nterest in all aspects of security research and development. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English ; business level proficiency required.
