Job Description:
Nordex is a leading manufacturer of wind energy plants in the on-shore segment with over 35 years of experience. Our team is responsible for developing rotor blades from early concept phase to serial production.
We are seeking an Engineer Blade Structures (m/f/d) to join our 'Methods and Tools' department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, validation, and implementation of methods and tools for the structural analysis of rotor blades.
* Perform structural analysis of light weight rotor blade components made of fiber reinforced composites using analytical or numerical methods (e.g. FEM)
* Take over responsibility for the conception and expansion of calculation and analysis methods and related tools for rotor blade structural design
* Collaborate within a team of structural engineers and cooperate with experts of other disciplines such as aerodynamic, design, materials, loads, control or manufacturing technology
* Develop In-house software solutions for blade development
* Design of static and dynamic validation tests
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A successfully completed master's degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, civil or aerospace engineering, plastics technology) or comparable qualification
* Preferably 3-5 years of relevant work experience with good knowledge of engineering mechanics
* Good knowledge of fiber reinforced composites including related materials and processes
* Good knowledge of the finite element method, ideally with ANSYS as well as good programming skills (e.g. Python)
* Professional working proficiency in English, further language skills (German, Spanish) are an advantage
* Structured and independent way of working
* Excellent team skills and reliability paired with intercultural skills
