Job Title: Lead Structural Engineer – Topsides Responsibilities
This project involves delivering an offshore HVDC transmission system to connect wind energy to the mainland grid. As the EPC contractor, we handle the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of topside platforms, jackets, and subsea cables. Our focus includes optimizing designs, ensuring compliance with offshore standards, and coordinating seamless integration of high-voltage equipment within strict timelines and regulatory frameworks.
* Manage and deliver structural engineering deliverables for topside projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, timelines, and budgets.
* Oversee and execute project scope, specifications, and schedules, resolving discipline-related issues effectively.
* Develop and review designs, procedures, and reports, including structural analysis for topsides, loadout design, and transportation structures.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Implement best practices in structural engineering, with a focus on optimizing topside weight and integrating fabrication schedules.
* Lead engineering teams, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to international and local standards.
* Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior staff while fostering collaboration across departments.
* Ensure that engineering designs are constructible, meet client requirements, and adhere to applicable codes and standards.
* Conduct regular reviews of engineering deliverables, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Support project managers in tracking project progress, managing contractual deviations, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Required Skills
* Education and Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
o Membership in a recognized professional institute and active PMP certification are advantageous.
* Technical Expertise:
o Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural design for topsides, including FEED design, detailed engineering, and mega-project execution.
o Expertise in HVDC platforms, loadout design, sea fastening, and sea transportation.
o Familiarity with stress-skin designs, HVDC equipment support, and weight optimization for topsides.
o Comprehensive understanding of relevant structural codes, standards, and European offshore regulations (e.g., BSH).

o Ability to mentor and lead diverse, multi-national teams.
