Customer Support Engineer
General objective of the role
As After-Sales Engineer at Ecorobotix, you will be a strategic communication point between our clients and our R&D teams. If you're a master at log analysis and troubleshooting, then this position is for you!
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Remote Technical Support: Deliver expert diagnosis and support in different fields, including software (proficiency in Unix terminal, Bash, and Python scripting), hardware (electrical/mechanical knowledge), and field applications.
* Develop Technical Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining troubleshooting and support documentation for both internal and external use.
* Collaborate for Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with other departments to enhance the quality of our products, services and operational processes.
* Occasional On-site Customer Support: Conduct occasional (1 to 5 times per year) customer on-site repairs and support, distributor trainings, or events across Europe
What your typical day looks like, every day will look completely different!
* The job is following a seasonality. Spring/Summer time the main focus is to help our distributors on real support situations. Maintaining our customers up and running, to reach the best benefits out of our equipment.
* While collecting precious information for the continuous product improvement. Few trips to see customers and dealers working on the real condition may happen. On this period, we have a close relationship with our distributors.
* During winter time, the workload on live support is decreasing. It's time to conclude the season, and get ready for the next year. This, by improving and preparing documentation, train dealers or work on side projects linked to the continuous product and service improvement.
* You will be evolving in a company where innovation and passion are key.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in customer support, troubleshooting and log analysis
* Certified engineer or technician in the following fields: micro engineering, industrial systems, robotics, automation, computer science
* Experience with Linux OS, Bash/Python scripting, Git workflows and Docker is a must have
* Knowledge of C++ or Java, as well as Ansible is a plus
* German speaking and B2 in English.
* Any knowledge in robotics, agronomy, and agricultural equipment is a plus
