System Engineer (m/f/d) – Embedded Platform

In our global embedded platform development team based out of Hesston Kansas with remote team members around the globe we provide a common software framework and embedded hardware for all AGCO machine specific teams to build on. This enables software reuse and common operator interfaces for our farmers. As a system engineer focusing on the hardware portion you will be part of exciting initiatives and projects designing solutions that pave the way for AGCO teams for decades to come.
What You Will Do
* You own the overall system specification of an embedded ECU family
* You collaborate and manage ECU hardware vendor project, design and communication
* You analyze and ensure implementation of requirements both on software and hardware level
* You analyze and align the system design with architects, hardware engineers and software engineers
* You work in an agile setup within a scrum team
* You design solutions with teams physically located in other countries
What You Will Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Informatics, Electrical Engineering or similar
* 3+ years of experience in system level specification, design and development of embedded ECUs (hardware and base software)
* Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting system requirements for safety-critical systems
* Fluency in English (written & verbal)
A Plus If You Have
* Expertise with CAN, Serial, and Ethernet (100baseTX and 100/1000baseT1) communication protocols
* Experience with AUTOSAR Classic and respective tools like PREEvision
* Knowledge in OOP like C++ and ISO Safety Requirements
* Experience in automotive or agricultural industry
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
