About the job As a Senior Simulation Engineer within the Global Device & Packaging Unit (GDPU), you will play a key role in the development of innovative medical devices. Leveraging advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as Ansys and LS-Dyna, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design optimization, ensure product performance, and uphold the highest quality standards for patient safety. Main responsibilities Simulation Leadership: Conduct FEA simulations to evaluate structural, thermal, and dynamic performance of medical devices, focusing on design optimization and validation. Analysis and Reporting: Develop and document detailed simulation models, perform advanced analyses using Ansys and LS-Dyna, and deliver clear, actionable reports. Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, material experts, and manufacturing teams to ensure simulation insights align with product requirements. Process Improvement: Establish best practices for simulation workflows, validation methods, and integration with experimental testing to enhance reliability and efficiency. Regulatory Compliance: Support the development of robust simulation documentation for regulatory submissions. About you Education: advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline. Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Finite Element Analysis using Ansys and explicit simulations with LS-Dyna. Knowledge of CAD design tools, such as SpaceClaim and Creo Parametric. Solid understanding of material behavior, particularly plastics, and their application in product design. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, is an advantage. Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills to convey complex simulation insights to cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Languages: Proficient in written and spoken English. Why choose us?
