General Responsibilities
* Independently drive and execute/perform technical failure investigation/analysis working with software driven electro-mechanical system/product (& parts) to investigate & determine technical root causes for potential defects (..NCRs). To support quality & reliability improvement (defect reduction) initiatives in - Innovation, Engineering sustenance, R&D, manufacturing as well as post-launch product life cycle.
* Such technical investigation includes such as by driving to collaborate with cross-functional members and developing test concepts and methods, building test setups, executing tests, and documenting reports.
* This to support any hypothesis, failure mechanisms, understanding & characterizing potential product defects. Sources of product problems can be from manufacturing NCRs, field complaints, Product development failures or OOS.
* Support the QE team with technical knowledge such as discussing and generating test or investigation concept for defect/failure investigation as well as product risk analysis and chairing generation of technical solutions for any corrective actions.
* Take ownership to develop and maintain the quality investigation lab.
* Write technical investigation reports and risk assessments as a part of customer complaint and non-conformity handling.
* Technical and functional assessment of broker goods as quality SME.
* Establishing & improving processes surrounding the job role.
Skills and Experience
* Engineering degree - Bachelor, Master, educated in analog and digital techniques
* Beneficial: Education in technical handcraft e.g. electronics technician, Informationselektroniker, Communication technician telecom
* Many years’ experiences in performing activities described above in similar electro-mechanical products
* Knowledge & experience such in analyzing/designing & testing - microprocessor circuits (embedded circuits), electronic (HW/SW integrated) modules
* Knowledge in systematic error/technical cause search
* Shown/Demonstrated ability to define problems, hypothesize potential causes, conceptualize and perform technical testing to determine technical cause of a defect or issue
* This includes experience in handling standard measurement & test devices
* Ability to craft technical strategies to investigate quality and technical problems
* Knowledge systematic reliability methods/tools such as FTAs & FMEAs as well as simulation & modelling tools & AI based tools for failure & system behavior, is advantage
* Knowledge in systems engineering is an advantage
* Good understanding of physics & engineering principles including failure analysis, root cause analysis techniques with ability to show sound engineering skills/knowledge
* Good knowledge of English (written & spoken) and knowledge of German is a preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively (Clear & Fact based)
* Ability to collaborate & work in a team. Adept & Able to establish and develop network/relationships and make contacts
* Ability to assert oneself
* Being open to feedback, evaluate & improve
* Being curious & proactive & creative
* Ability to drive topics independently
