Job Overview
For our location Ottobrunn/Munich, Germany, Home-Office we are looking for an Employee (m/f/d) in the Field Application Engineering Team – ELECTRICS -
The Field Application Engineers (m/f/d) (FAE) support the business development of the Energy product range in their area through direct contact with sales partners and key customers and support the local sales team on specific projects. They also provide business and technical information to the customers and the product management team. As part of the BU Energy, the FAE will market Electrical, LV/MV/HV accessories, products and application solutions. The FAE will work with a wide range of customers, from utilities, energy suppliers, industrial and distributors.
Territory to cover: North/West Germany
Your Responsibilities:
Cultivate / Manage Relationships:
• Continuously caring for a good trusting relationship between the customer and TE
• Build customer partnerships by continually demonstrating a strong value proposition
Demand Creation:
• Prescription to key customers to add the Electrical product Use to their specifications and bill of materials
• Support new products introduction with promotion and communication campaign to customers
• Design-in at customers:
o identifies the needs of the customer as early as possible
o Gather all information needed to make the design input available as complete as possible
o Interface between the TE Professional-Service team, Product Management (PM), the account manager and the customer
o Stay in permanent contact with the customer, report status and feedback to all internal stakeholders
• Consulting support and technical training to customers
Market intelligence:
• Understand the competitive landscape of the TE product lines: LV/MV/HV cable accessories, street lighting, potting materials, LV/MV/HV connection technologies from primary technology as well as application solutions from secondary technology
• Support market observations for the development and positioning of TE products for the various energy areas
What your background should look like:
Key Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge:
• LV/MV/HV installer with 5-10 years of experience in power grids, Master electrician, electrician technician, electrical engineer
• Experience for application solutions in secondary technology (switchgear and station construction, field bus communicatoin system for power networks)
• Respectful interactions with different hierarchies among customers.
• Awareness or ability to gain the relevant market standards and requirements
Your Skills & Abilities:
• Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organizational functions (inside and outside TE)
• Must have demonstrated successful experience in technical applications (LV/MV/HV) and electrical solutions (sensors, digitization of power grids)
• Business acumen and understanding of customer requirements and needs
• Very good experience within TE products (and systems)
• Confident negotiating skills with technical decision-makers of our customers in the energy supply sector in both the industrial and wholesale sectors
• Excellent knowledge of TE Energy products and competitor products
• Technical coordination and presentations to customers
• Creation of technical documentation: assembly instructions, translations, test reports and parts lists for products
• Training, instruction and supervision of customers and employees in the technical area
• Fluent in English and German (verbally and written)
