About the Team The EDP team at Elia Group is building an internal platform to accelerate the development and delivery of software products addressing the energy sector's significant challenges. This cloud-native, service-oriented platform provides application teams with self-service capabilities for infrastructure, data management, service lifecycle management, application build and delivery, and operations. The platform is deployed as a hybrid cloud, integrating private and public clouds. The Infrastructure Product Line within EDP delivers services for other product lines, engineered and operated in this segment. Position Description The Data Center (DC) Network Engineer will join the Infrastructure sub-group, reporting to the Network Delivery Team Lead. This role involves planning and delivering infrastructure aligned with architectural and operational requirements. The focus is on automation to enhance efficiency, standardize processes, and minimize human errors. The DC Network Engineer will also: Develop and implement Quality Assurance processes to validate network builds against design requirements and standards. Create documentation and handovers for Operations to ensure standardized maintenance. Collaborate across organizations and take on diverse tasks during the program's start-up phase. Key Responsibilities Successful Network Delivery: Plan, implement, and document the in-scope environment as defined. Process Integration: Follow designed processes and provide detailed documentation. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate builds. Continuous Improvement: Validate implementation processes, create/update scripts, and address security deviations or required adjustments. Effective Communication: Clearly explain technical requirements and collaborate with teams for alignment. Self-Organization: Prioritize tasks, track progress, and actively resolve issues by engaging relevant stakeholders. Requirements Profile Requirements At least 5 years of networking experience in enterprise and data center environments. CCIE or CCNP Enterprise & Datacenter certification. Strong communication skills for collaborating with peers and engineers. Competency in problem analysis and resolution across network dependencies. Must-Have Skills Experience with data center networks, VLAN, MPLS, VPN, and remote access. Proficiency in Juniper Apstra (preferred) or Cisco ACI. Knowledge of protocols: BGP, ISIS, OSPF, IPSec, DNS, IPAM. Network delivery automation using Ansible, with Python knowledge for collaboration with software teams. Experience with DevOps and system management tools for Quality Assurance testing. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Miro (or similar tools). Language Skills Fluent in English (minimum C1 level). Preferred Competencies Basic knowledge of Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, Linux, VMware. Familiarity with LDAP, OIDC, OAUTH, PKI Certificates, CIS Hardening.
