Responsibilities:
* Develop, enhance, and manage software solutions in the cloud, continuously improving company platforms and applications.
* Collaborate with experienced software engineers and architects, providing support for colleagues’ professional development.
* Engage directly with clients to gather requirements and create technical concepts for application development and operation.
* Utilise cloud techniques and methodologies such as IT Service Management (ITSM) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to design and maintain sustainable, automated, and easily maintainable analytical platforms and applications.
* Work on a diverse range of projects, ranging from long-term assignments to short proof-of-concept tasks.
Qualifications and Profile:
* A strong university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines
* Extensive experience in software or data engineering, or systems development
* Proficiency in at least one prominent programming language (e.g., Python, C#, .NET, Go, R, SAS) and familiarity with standard databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
* Expertise in Container technologies (such as Kubernetes, Docker)
* A commitment to high software quality standards as well as cloud lifecycle techniques
* Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD) and monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb)
* Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration, with the ability to devise optimal cloud solutions
* Proficiency in a scripting language or experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
* Fluency in both German and English, both spoken and written at B2 or higher
