Description Help modernize our build pipeline and release process. Gallup is looking for an experienced full-stack engineer to improve the resiliency of existing processes and to help create new CI/CD pipelines. In this role, you’ll build out our Python-based CLI, which is used to deploy artifacts, including SQL migrations, Java REST services, ReactJS UIs, AWS Lambdas and numerous other AWS services. You will collaborate with internal partners to understand existing challenges, smooth out regional rollout problems, and track and monitor release trends to devise solutions. Your expertise will play a critical role in accelerating the release cadence across multiple AWS regions. What you’ll do: Work with multiple teams and partners to understand and improve development and release processes Use AWS CLI, GitHub CLI and Python to automate release processes Manage production releases across several AWS regions Collaborate with highly talented teammates to not only solve problems, but also to find elegant, accessible technology solutions for our release needs Who we want: Problem solvers who identify production obstacles and system bugs, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical expertise Independent thinkers who anticipate challenges; prioritize the urgency of multiple demands; and love searching for optimal, proactive solutions Adaptable learners who quickly absorb new technologies, understand business needs and stay current on different CI/CD frameworks Quality-conscious partners who adhere to coding standards and write high-quality code What you need: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or a related field required Five years of experience in Java or Python programming required Five years of experience developing CI/CD solutions required Experience with version-control systems and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline) required End-to-end testing experience required Familiarity and working experience with Agile environment (scrum, Kanban) required Good knowledge of written and spoken English required Ability to work at Gallup’s Berlin office at least two days per week required Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies preferred Exposure to large, complex software solutions preferred What we offer: We create exceptional workplaces, starting with our own.
