Linux Software Engineer (Customer Support)
General objective of the role
As After-Sales Engineer at Ecorobotix, you will be a strategic communication point between our clients and our R&D teams. If you're a master at log analysis and troubleshooting, then this position is for you!
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Remote Technical Support: Deliver expert diagnosis and support in different fields, including software (proficiency in Unix terminal, Bash, and Python scripting), hardware (electrical/mechanical knowledge), and field applications.
* Develop Technical Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining troubleshooting and support documentation for both internal and external use.
* Collaborate for Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with other departments to enhance the quality of our products, services, and operational processes.
* Occasional On-site Customer Support: Conduct occasional (1 to 5 times per year) customer on-site repairs and support, distributor trainings, or events across Europe.
What your typical day looks like: Every day will look completely different!
* The job follows a seasonality. During Spring/Summer, the main focus is to help our distributors in real support situations, maintaining our customers up and running to reach the best benefits from our equipment.
* While collecting precious information for continuous product improvement. A few trips to see customers and dealers working in real conditions may happen. During this period, we have a close relationship with our distributors.
* During winter, the workload on live support decreases. It's time to conclude the season and prepare for the next year by improving and preparing documentation, training dealers, or working on side projects linked to continuous product and service improvement.
* You will be evolving in a company where innovation and passion are key.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in customer support, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
* Certified engineer or technician in the following fields: micro engineering, industrial systems, robotics, automation, computer science.
* Experience with Linux OS, Bash/Python scripting, Git workflows, and Docker is a must-have.
* Knowledge of C++ or Java, as well as Ansible, is a plus.
* B2 in English; German speaking is a plus.
* Any knowledge in robotics, agronomy, and agricultural equipment is a plus.

* A high degree of independence and spirit of initiative.
* Handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines doesn’t scare you.
* You’re curious and love to tinker with all things electronics and/or mechanics.
