Peraton is seeking a motivated Network Engineer / Network Monitoring Engineer to join our team supporting the U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCC-E). Location: Wiesbaden, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the network management software run by the RCC-E. Key responsibilities include: Network Management & Software Support: Oversee and manage the network monitoring software suite, including Spectrum, CAPC, NetFlow Analyzer, and JasperSoft Reporting. Maintain an up-to-date operational understanding of the USAREUR network topology. Monitor network performance and implement advanced reporting solutions to improve network operations. Software Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform software upgrades and troubleshoot issues as they arise with the aforementioned applications. Collaborate with Linux administrators to enhance the performance of Linux-based systems supporting the applications. Ensure system compliance by conducting security checks in alignment with STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) requirements. User Support & Training: Provide assistance to users in operating the network management tools. Conduct user training sessions twice a month for a base of approximately 500 users. Additional Skills: You will have the opportunity to work with Linux, Python, and Ansible, and gain exposure to VMware environments. Experience with SharePoint administration, Windows and Linux Server management is a plus. Required: Education: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or an Associate degree plus 7 years of specialized experience, OR, Completion of an industry certified training in a relevant cyber security area such as IAT I, IAT II, IAT III, etc. may be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., a major industry certification with 7 years of experience) and may be considered equivalent to a technical associates degree plus 7 years of specialized experience, OR, HS and 12 years of specialized experience in the relevant field. Experience: Network monitoring or performance monitoring software experience, which may include tools such as SolarWinds, SNMPc, Spectrum, or other modern network monitoring platforms. Certification: Must hold an active DoD 8140-approved certification for DCWF job code 451 (e.g., CASP, CCNP Security, ISC2 CCSP). ONE of the following: Azure Developer Associate OR CA Spectrum Administrator or NETCool Administrator. Future Certification Requirement: Candidates must obtain, within 6 months of hire, one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper Network Certified Internet Specialist, or Broadcom Spectrum certification. Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required. Security Clearance: An active Secret security clearance (or higher) is required.
