Job Description: Airbus Helicopters is looking for youto join the team in Donauworth as soon as possible as our newFlight Test Engineer Class 1 (d/f/m) for production/developmenttests for Helicopters. Lead flight test engineer (LFTE) as definedin EASA PART21: A flight test engineer is assigned for duties in anaircraft for the purpose of conducting flight tests or assistingthe pilot in the operation of the aircraft and its systems duringflight test activities. LFTEs are Flight Test Engineers (FTEs) thathave specific duties and privileges as a flight test crew member,to operate the test aircrafts systems either directly or throughdedicated flight test instrumentation, that could significantlyinterfere with the aircraft basic systems. The word assisting thepilots should be understood in the sense of the critical actionswhich could be performed by the LFTE, if requested by the flighttest order and agreed by the pilot in command. LFTE are also incharge of upstream preparation of flights tests and finalvalidation of flight tests results Your tasks and responsibilities Act as part of the flight crew to conduct production anddevelopment flight test activities on new helicopters Coordination of ground test activities in order to ensure permit tofly Conduct flight test activities in accordance with flight ,safety and quality regulations incl. verification/validation andestablishment of necessary certification documents Coordinationof activities with engineering department, flight line, prototypeshop and quality assurance Ensure onboarding and standardizationfor ground test activities in the flight line Ensure continuousimprovement and update of flight, safety and quality regulationsin accordance with local authority regulations Ensurecoordination and tracking of changes of local flight regulationsand finalization of correcting actions if necessary Adaptationand creation of flight test instructions Conduct engineering testflights including written flight test reports Able to travel fortraining and flight test caigns worldwide on short notice.Desired skills and qualifications Final study degree in aerospacetechnology or similar Professional experience in Engineering System background, preferably military (e.g. NH90) Finalizedtraining asflight test engineer class 1 EASA license Radiolicense in English (BZF1 oder AZF) Privat Pilot License (A) or(H) High level of flexibility and mobility, worldwide travels,possibly at short notice Language Skills: English negotiatonlevel, German and French is a plus Your location At our Donauworthsite, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develophelicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.
