In the position you may be involved in the following activities:
* Perform assessment and approval of electrical systems and components intended for ship- and offshore newbuilds, as well as conversion projects
* Provide expert knowledge to other parts of DNV, including surveyors, local stations, sales force and business development leaders
* Maintenance and development of class rules, internal and external guidelines and services within the technical area.
* Participate in discussions, meetings and workshops with customers
* Attend surveys and tests on ships or at manufacturer’s premises
Who are you?
* A self-driven team player passionate about solving challenges and creating results in a supportive team environment.
* Your educational background will typically be B.Sc. / M.Sc. in electrical engineering
* Good communication skills in English, verbally and in writing are necessary
* Eager to learn and develop, as well as adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to build trust, confidence and respect
* Service-minded, flexible and with a positive attitude
* Honest, open-minded, and committed to DNV’s purpose, visions and values
* Some experience within the field of electrical systems would be an advantage, but graduates may also be considered
* Knowledge about / background from the maritime or offshore/energy industry is preferable
